Part of the complete guide: Maintenance & performance

You do not have to be an engineer to spot a careless install. On roof day, walk through this list with the supervisor.

Before work starts

  • Delivered module count and model match the quote.
  • Inverter model and serial number match the quote.
  • The structure is galvanised or aluminium, not painted mild steel.

While they work

  • Anchors are sealed with waterproofing compound.
  • Cables are secured, UV-rated, and not lying in puddles.
  • Modules have clearance underneath for airflow and cleaning access.

At handover

  • Earthing pits and lightning arrestor are installed; ask for the earth-resistance reading.
  • You receive the single-line diagram, warranty cards, GST invoice and application copies.
  • The inverter app is set up on your phone and shows output.

Take photos of everything. If the installer is working under our Solar Advisor supervision, we do this checklist for you.

Always verify. Subsidy, tariff and price figures change; confirm with the official portal, KSEB / TNPDCL and a written quote.
